Calendar Control: First date displayed and last date displayed.
I am trying to get the first date displayed and the last date displayed from the calendar control so I can run a database query to pull back all events in that date range. May for example will show April 29th to June 9th. Anybody know how to get these dates from the control? Look at this post from a couple of days ago - http://forums.asp.net/p/1114949/1730465.aspx#1730465 I believe it addresses your problem. Sam That example uses the SelectedDate from two calendar controls, one for the start date and one for the end date. What I want to is get the first day and the last day displayed on a calendar control. This is quite a hack..even by my standards. Maybe it should be hidden by moving it into a user control.protected void Calendar1_PreRender(object sender, EventArgs e) { Session['FirstDay'] = null; Session['LastDay'] = null; } protected void Calendar1_DayRender(object sender, DayRenderEventArgs e) { if (Session['FirstDay'] null) Session['FirstDay'] = e.Day.Date; Session['LastDay'] = e.Day.Date; } protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (Session['FirstDay'] != null) { Response.Write(Session['FirstDay'].ToString() + '<br />'); Response.Write(Session['LastDay'].ToString() + '<br />'); } } ..

Calendar Control extender (date wrong format)
If I use a normal asp calendar everything works fine. However using an AJAX calendar extender the date is being reset to US format (MM/dd/yyyy). If I change the format field manuall to dd/MM/yyyy then the date is displayed correctly in the text box, but when i use these fields to query the database (where the data is actually stored as UK dd/MM/yyyy) i get the error:Arithmetic overflow error converting expression to data type datetime anyone know how to resole it?Oddly, if I leave it as MM/dd/yyyy then it queries the database fine. There are too many differences for one email - - from 1.0 to 1.1 (not a whole lot of real change, other than fixes, at least compared to 1.1 to 2.0) With 2.0, there were many new declarative controls, with many new ideas added in With 3.0, it's a superset of 2.0 - instead of replacing the installation completely, it just 'added on' new functionality - I would..

.NEt 2K5 Calendar Control: Only displaying months dating back to a year
Hey Guys, I'm new to this control. I'm trying to set it up so that depending on DateTime.Now(), it will only allow user to navigate upto the previous 12 months and nothing further back. For example, today is 10/08/2008. So the user can only go as far back as 10/08/2007. How can I do this with the Calendar control? Extending User class in .net 1.1
Is there a way I can extend/build extra properties to the User class in .NET 1.1? What I'm trying to say is add more properties to the user class for example Context.User.Identity.Address or Context.User.Identity.PhoneNumber etc.. Calendar control
Hi there,Does anyone know if it is possible to disable some of the dates available for selection. For example, on opening the calendar all the dates before today are grayed out so that it is only possible to select dates in the future. On my site I am using two calendar controls which are representing a start date of an event and an end date. In the end date calendar I would like to disable all dates before the selected start date.Is anything like this possible with the calendar control? Thanks for your help,Juliane Juliane, You will have to create a DayRender function to override the default dayrender for your calendar. Here's something to start you off. Private Sub Calendar1_DayRender(sender As Object, e As DayRenderEventArgs) If e.Day.Date < BeginningOfDateRange e.Cell.BackColor = System.Drawing.Color.LightGray e.Day.IsSelectable = False End If If e.Day.Date > EndOfDateRange Then e.Cell.BackColor = System.Drawing.Color.LightGray e.Day.IsSelectable = False End If End Sub I'm going to memory here. If you I was on my pc rather than this mac I could give you the full source. This microsoft link will help you out tremendously. Thanks, I will give this a go. Sorry, but the Mircosoft link doesn't seem to work. I'll search the msdn library for dayrender and see if I can find it. Sorry for the confusion, I must have not explained properly what my question..
