Curriculum Overview
Fellows will be assigned to teams longitudinally with one fellow from each PGY year assigned together. The 3rd year fellow for each team serves as the “team leader.” This fellow will be responsible for directing team activities, meeting deadlines for submission of materials, and presenting results at end of year event. Each group will identify a project or area of interest; alignment with one of the UF Health or Malcom Randall VAMC quality priorities is encouraged. Each group will present the results of their project at the end of the academic year. Projects will be judged on innovation, impact on care, methodology, and presentation. Fellows will be expected to complete three QI projects during their training, one per year. Fellows are encouraged to consider QI projects that could go through multiple iterations and be repeatedly improved each year.
To date, 42 projects and 53 improvement cycles have been completed through the FAQT curriculum. Onenote windows server 2012. The projects have resulted in 9 publications and 14 external presentations, and have received 10 awards on the local, state, and national levels including two finalists for the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology Choosing Wisely Award and a national finalist in the American College of Physicians Abstract Competition.

We’ve done this with other apps, and have found it usually devolves into not only a mess, but an opaque and hidden one. A flat and shallow view has so far served us well, although with large enough sets it starts to run into it’s own challenges that we’re still thinking about. Collections is a first (and powerful) step towards a solution we hope you’ll find complements your workflow instead of fighting against it.
